Well I am so busy right now I will not be doing too much posting. We leave Saturday for vacation and I have too many things to do before we leave. When I can I will post, but also keep an eye out for my Twitters in the Upper Left. We will be at a cabin in St Germain WI for a week while a friend house sits and watches the furry kids. They now have Wi-Fi at the cabin!!! Maybe get some nice posts and pictures over vacation...

A Quick 5
I have been a bit busy the past few days so I thought I should pop on in and do a quick "The 5"
The 5 (running edition)
"Take It One Day At A Time"
The 5 (running edition)
- Couch to 5K - this program has been wonderful. It is a lot of work, but I do not feel like I am killing myself trying to run.
- 2 Weeks Down - I just finished my second week of running. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I still feel like I am alive.
- Arthritis - My Arthritis in my feet has hardly bothered me since I started running. Yeah!
- New Shoes - After running for two weeks I realize I will probably have to replace my shoes a little sooner then normal.
- Treadmill - I have not had a chance to hit the road yet, but my hamster wheels works for now. Especially since I need to keep track of time a little more.

The Weekend Ends...
Daily Picture: Friends Trike

I did some work tuning up my friends Trike. Can't wait to get my own. I am working hard at getting good and fixing Bicycles and Trikes... Good skill to have.
Well another weekend is coming to a close. I am not really sure which are actually more busy for me, the weekend or weekdays... Hmmm
Carpet Rip Out Party
Helped one of my closest friend rip out most of the flooring on his first floor. His wife and I did the major demo while he took out the trash. (Physical limitations for him) In some ways taking a knife to big pieces of carpet is rather therapeutic. Take out some aggression..LOL He ordered "Bills Pizza" for us for lunch which rocked. Grew up on Bills and it runs through my veins.
Exercise Exercise Exercise!
Friday was a really big day for exercise. I finished the first week of the Couch to 5K running program, did a 30 Day Challenge workout on EA Sports Active, rode 30 minutes with the family pulling the little one in the trailer and then rode my friends Trike for 30 minutes while my oldest rode around the neighborhood. Yeah Baby!
Re-Screen
I had to re-screen the back screen door and a few windows due to a combination of Puppy, 4yo and Power Washer. I have gotten pretty good at fixing the Screens.
New Blinds
The Puppy decided to jump at the blinds and ended up breaking two. Had the joy of replacing those over the weekend as well.
Six Flags
The family went to Six Flags for a few hours this afternoon. had a good time, but it was a bit crowded.
Applebees
The favorite restaurant for the family. We managed to feed the 5 of us for $36.00 with tip. Not going to be able to do that much longer.

The 5
- Running - The wife noticed this week that after running I am walking much better. My feet are much better. This week I run 90 Seconds and Walk 2 minutes in intervals. Won't be long before I hit the mile marker.
- EA Sports Active - At the Halfway Point for my 30 Day challenge. Will be Done the day I leave for Vacation. I have really noticed a differance in my legs and overall strength.
- PC on the DL - My home PC is starting to act it's age. I have another one floating around and will be combining the two to hopefully make it last until next year. We will then replace it with a Laptop. Luckily my Work Laptop is just fine.
- Bicycle Repair - Working hard to learn more. Might see if I can find a old bike at a garage sale and use it as a learning tool. Old Trek/Specialized/Cannondale...
- Vacation Coming - YES!!!

No More Excuses
Daily Picture: Swim Time...

Boys are playing in the pool this afteroon. Baby naps as I sit and watch them listening for the sounds of a stirring toddler...
No More Excuses... That right no more excuses when it comes to exercise. I have a wonderful new progam as well as decided to take on a new goal.
EXERCISE
I have never been a really good dieter, but getting plenty of exercise can counter act some of the poor eating habits I still can't kick.

EXERCISE
- EA Sports Active. The program has a 30 day challenge that I am currently working on and will finish the day we leave for vacation. It is two days on and one day off working a wide range of muscles as well as keeping the workouts interesting. During the work outs I found that the light jogging was not a problem for my srthritic feet.
- Couch to 5K - I also started the Couch to 5K program from Cool Running. After hardly being able to walk one morning because my feet and ankles were so stiff I started doing research. I found so many running sites and information from people with arthritis that run that I was intrigued. Basically running 3-5 miles a week can be helpful. I would not run a marathon, but this should help. After my second workout of the 9 week program I am no longer afraid to run. Yesterday one day after running for the first time in a long time I was surprisingly mobile and free of pain.
- Bicycling - Whenever I possibly can. this is my hobby and fun thing to do. Even when I push hard it is enjoyable. If everything goes well this fall I will probably be able to swing the addition of a Recumbent Trike! Terra Trike Cruiser.
I have never been a really good dieter, but getting plenty of exercise can counter act some of the poor eating habits I still can't kick.
The 5
- Running - I have been suprised at how starting the running program has not been a problem. I actually have less issues with my feet the last few days then I have had in a long time
- Trike Repair - One of my closest friends brought over his recumbent trike because he was having troubles. I was able to repair the issue and get a few rides in.
- Harry Potter - Movie opened last night. Might have to have a date with the wife to go see it. I have had the other 5 playing in the background as I do other things getting me ready for the newest one.
- T-Ball, Diving and Time - One in TBALL, one in Diving and both at similar times. Dad taxi has been working overtime.
- Insect Book - I purchased the WWF field guide to Insects and Spiders of North America for 4yo. He love it and we have already highlighted a bunch of bugs he has captured. The coolest..."Giant Darner" Dragonfly. 5" wingspan and 4" long... Really awesome!!!

Busy Week... As Usual.
Daily Picture: Racecar Cart in Home Depot

Two very happy boys riding in the two seater racecar cart at homedepot. We even looked around a little extra since they were have such a good time.
A Week Without for 4yo
Well this week 4yo had no classes of any kind which made for a strange week considering he has been a busy little guy all summer. Due to Rain his T-Ball was cancelled which took away his one organized activity for the week. Next week he will be doing a week long camp and the following two weeks swim lessons. Busy, Busy, Busy...
Diving
Soon to be 9yo has Diving lessons to try it out and is having a good time. All low board, but he is getting the hang of the jumps at least. I guess tonight he did not do as well as Wednesday.
5yo Birthday Party
Tonight I too 4yo to a friends 5th birthday party at "Pump It Up" a jump house place and he had a total blast. All his preschool buddies were there which made him really happy. Makes me sad that most will be in different schools.

- DADSTOCK III -Finally got that all planned for September. Going to have a great time with fellow dads, good food and great beer.
- Exercise - Adding more and more as I go looking to mix things up a bit. Monday starting the Couch to 5K program. Some fast walking light running is supposed to help with my joints. Just no long distance stuff
- More Projects - A simple shoe rack created a bunch of projects from moving plants, adding artwork and even another shelf. At least it was not the book shelf that ended in a entire room redecorate.
- Work - I was informed today that I will be back on payroll doing software testing starting August 15th. YEAH... Get some more work in at night and make some $$$
- Sleep - Not getting enough again... UGH!

Daily Picture: Boy and His Dog...

Holiday Weekend and a pile of things to do.
With the holiday weekend I was truly hoping to get a lot done, but everytime I did something I would end up creating two more things to do. I would have been better off just staying in bed.
Pee Wee Camp Ice Cream Social
Friday was the last day of Pee Wee Camp for 4yo and they had a picnic and Ice Cream Social afterwards. The wife was off so we packed a nice picnic and went and played at the park and ate Ice Cream. None of the kids at camp seemed to gel like the preschool kids. It was good to have him out for a while because he needs it. This coming Monday he has a Pre K Intro type class for a week. Kind of help transition to Kindergarten.
The 4th Of July
Well on the 4th we had plans to go out for a late Dinner at the wife's brothers house. He bought his parents old house and is jus down the street from a carnival and the fireworks. We parked at his house, ate some food and we all walked down to watch the show. BIL's wife does not like wild rides and so The Wife went on some of the wild ridea at the carnaval with him. The fireworks were pretty good and the baby enjoyed them until the finally when he hid his head in his blankets.
Sunday the 5th
We had some Free Tickets from when we got our Season Passes for Six Flags Great America that expired on the 5th. So we took my wifes Brother, his wife and a friend of theirs that has reinlisted in the Marines. He has to report this week so it was a good day to go. The Wife was really happy to get to go on the big coasters since I don't like them. I might be as big as a house, but I am a Chicken... We spent about 3 hours there and a good time was had by all. 4yo finally rode a bunch of rides in the kids area which thrilled his big brother who was stuck riding them with him.
No More Cast, Brace or Broken Arm Limits.
Today 8y0 was given the all clear. No more brace and no more limits to what he does. This made him really happy!

- Time - has been short the past couple weeks. Going to change a few things to have better use of my time, hopefully!
- EA Sports Active - Is kicking my butt, but I had to restart my 30 Day Challenge since I missed a ton of days with all that went on the last couple weeks. Going to EASA while the little one naps from now on. This way I don't do it too late keeping me up.
- Bicycling - Going to hit the trails tonight. Been a bit lazy the last few weeks do to lack of time and super busy schedule
- The Right Chicken Nuggets - I had been buying a certain Dinosaur Nugget from Costco until a few weeks ago when they stopped carrying them. Well they brought in a new shape of the same brand which I tried and the kids liked. I had tried no less then 6 different types before I got this one. 8yo is super picky.
- Buzz & Woody - The baby has a Buzz and Woody from Toy story that are kind of stuffed and he loves them and the Toy Story Movies. I plan on getting him the full sized ones for Christmas. (In the above Picture With Him)

Zoo Are You...Zoo Zoo, Zoo Zoo...
Daily Pictures: Zoo Trip

The wife took Tuesday off so we could go to the Zoo as a family. Our favorite zoo is the Milwaukee County Zoo just outside of Milwaukee WI. The drive is a little over an hour, but well worth it. This was the first time that our youngest has gone to the Zoo and he had an amazing time. By far his favorite places were the Fish and Reptile House and the Goats at the Farm. The big tanks made it easy for him to stand there and see the fish go by at his eye level. They have a few Leopard Sharks and he truly was excited to watch them. The goats walking up to him got him so excited. He was following them and trying to hug them as they walked by. The weather was near perfect for a day at the zoo. It was in the lower 70's which allowed for all the animals to be cool and happy to be out. For the first time in 9 years we were able to see ALL the Bears out. We might have to get a family membership next year so we can go to the zoo a bunch of times.
